Project-Based Learning
Classes in each subject use hands on, project-based learning to focus on:
★High interest topics & complex questions from the real world
★Research & critical thinking
★Teamwork & communication skills
★Regular assessment & feedback from teachers
To demonstrate what they learn, students create a final product.
Examples may include: presentation to younger students, children’s book, community map, scientific field journal, molecular models, web page, full-scale dwelling, product advertisement, etc.
Community Experience
Geared toward student success, the school’s goals include preparing students to enter college, further training and/or employment, helping students applying academic knowledge and skills to community projects, and enabling students to apply technology skills in multiple educational settings.
